West End Of Melbourne

We spotted this advert in Saturday’s TheAge, and noticed a few anomalies.

pic-melbourne-west-end-notThe sales pitch invites the reader to be a part of The New York End of Town.  Wow, Melbourne’s newest end of town, New York.

The New York End of Town is located at the west end of Melbourne: Corner Spencer, Lonsdale, Lt Bourke Str, Rose Lane | [map].

We did wonder why the advert has a couple pictured nowhere near the west end of Melbourne?  The couple is next to a New York cab in front of the Forum Theatre.  Most likely shot from the back FedSquare car park, where the couple are looking is anyone’s guess.

You will be pleased to know more than 85% are already sold, so start spreading the news about the Upper West Side, Manhattan.  Hold on have we a new suburb in the CBD.  Just as Richmond has Burnley and Cremorne, does Melbourne now have a Manhattan?

To be fair, pictures on the accompanying web site are of the Spencer Street end of Melbourne..oops, the New York end of town.. Manhattan

From the creators of Upper West Side, Melbourne’s largest and most successful precinct in a decade, comes the fourth and most dazzling jewel yet.

This new tower will take it to a whole new level, soaring high above the city lights.

Located on the corner of Lonsdale Street with the main lobby on Melbourne’s newest laneway, Rose Lane, this tower offers beautifully appointed one, two and three bedroom prime apartments, starting from $341,500.

Located within 1km to all of Melbourne’s major precincts and landmarks, the tower is the new standard for inner city living – fashion, food and entertainment on your doorstep.

This new city base will also feature: car parking, its own shimmering pool, gym, state of the art fibre optic cabling to all apartments, and its very own laneway retail precinct.
